Police in Pokhara city of Kaski district have arrested six locals of Pumdibhumdi area for their alleged involvement in rape and subsequent murder of a 10-year-old girl in their neighbourhood.

Earlier on Tuesday, they had collected the body of Shreya BK, a three grader at a local school.

DSP Naveen Karki of the Baidam Ward Police Office says, “We have arrested people including the victim’s neighbour 27-year-old Kusum Paudel. We will reveal the details after the investigation.”
